Summer Road Trip - Lincoln City

Drove to Lincoln City on the coast Tuesday. We went early and didn't hit any traffic going in, but on our way out, we saw that there was traffic backed up on the highway in. Apparently there are a lot of beachgoers at the height of summer.

We stopped at Pig 'N Pancake for breakfast on our way into Lincoln City. I had some pretty good biscuits and gravy. It has to be good with a name like "Pig 'N Pancake," right?

Also while in Lincoln City, we visited a couple places that we'd gone to on our honeymoon road trip: Alderhouse glass studio and Mossy Creek Pottery.

After that, we went looking for - and found - a covered bridge that we saw a sign for on the way in. The Drift Creek covered bridge had actually been moved from its original location and rebuilt, so it was sitting on someone's property. We could have still stopped to look at it, but decided that it wasn't anything special and went further to the Drift Creek Falls. It was a short hike to the actual falls, where there was also a suspension bridge crossing the divide.

(We saw some people swimming in the pool under the waterfall. Too bad we didn't bring our swimsuits on this trip).
