It didn't turn out quite like anticipated. There was some burning of chow mein involved. I think we might stick with making chow mein the "old-fashioned" way on the stove.

Wok Experiment
In an attempt to make up for the lack of a gas stove in our kitchen, Greg tried to stir-fry some chow mein using this giant wok and propane burner in our backyard:
